Superb very rare, limited edition, this being number 2 of only 2 ever produced, Hillcrest sugar shaker, and signed on the base.

Lorna Bailey Artware has often been described as the new Clarice Cliff. She produced collectable pottery pieces for over twenty years from 1995 with many early designs incorporating a series of cottages, trees and abstract patterns based on the designs of Clarice Cliff.

Taking inspiration from the Art Deco period, her works range from vases, jugs and sugar shakers to figures and decorative animals.  Two of the most popular patterns are House and Path and Sunburst which were painted by Lorna Bailey and a small team of painters onto a range of shapes, including vases, jugs, teapots, sugar shakers, cruets, candlesticks, and wall pockets. Bailey is arguably most famous for her range of cat designs.
